Job summary

Gateway Search Pte Ltd, on behalf of a client, seeks Customs Specialists for its Singapore-based Global Supply Chain/Trade Compliance team to ensure smooth, compliant cross-border movement of goods.

The role covers export documentation, customs clearance, shipment coordination, data management and compliance with Singapore regulations. Diploma/degree in related field and 1–3 years' experience required; Mandarin preferred for stakeholder liaison. 5.5-day week; based in Tampines, Singapore.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain or related field.
• 1–3 years' experience in customs, export docs, logistics or international trade.
• Familiarity with export declaration procedures and customs documents.
• Knowledge of Singapore customs regulations; HS codes or trade compliance a plus.
• ERP/SAP experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare export documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates and declarations.
• Coordinate export customs clearance in line with Singapore Customs requirements.
• Review shipment documentation for accuracy.
• Monitor shipment schedules and coordinate declarations, clearance and delivery.
• Work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, factories and internal teams.
• Follow up on shipment exceptions to keep things on track.
• Maintain shipment and customer records in internal systems.
• Ensure customs data is accurate and complete.
• Support document uploads and day-to-day system operations.
• Follow trade compliance policies and Singapore customs regulations.
• Support audits and documentation reviews.
• Spot and suggest process improvement opportunities.

Our client is an established international group with a global supply chain footprint, now growing its Singapore-based trade and customs operations. They're looking for detail-driven Customs Specialists to join their Global Supply Chain / Trade Compliance team and help keep goods moving smoothly and compliantly across borders.

What you'll do:

Export Documentation & Customs Clearance

• Prepare export documents including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates and declarations
• Coordinate export customs clearance in line with Singapore Customs requirements
• Review shipment documentation for accuracy

Shipment & Logistics Coordination

• Monitor shipment schedules and coordinate declarations, clearance and delivery
• Work closely with freight forwarders, customs brokers, warehouses, factories and internal teams

System & Data Management

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Singapore customs regulations, HS Codes or trade compliance is a plus
• ERP/SAP experience is an advantage
• Good English communication skills; Mandarin is preferred to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Detail-oriented, organised and comfortable juggling multiple tasks under deadlines

Work arrangement:

5.5-day work week, based in Singapore (East side - Tampines)
