Job summary

A leading waste management solutions provider in Singapore is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee contractor management, coordination with internal teams, and logistics planning. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, 2-3 years of relevant experience, and solid problem-solving capabilities. This role is based in the West area and offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to operational excellence.

  • Manage logistics staff including hiring and performance evaluation.

Job description

Our client is in the Environmental industry, they are one of the leading waste management solutions providers in Singapore. They are located in the West area – easily accessible.

Responsibilities
  • Contractor & Compliance Management: Ensure all contractors comply with waste collection requirements (PPE, documentation, regulations) and follow up on collection progress; manage adherence to authority regulations (e.g., NEA, LTA).
  • Customer & Internal Coordination: Handle customer queries and requests on waste collection, coordinate with Sales and Customer Service teams, and attend plant-level meetings (EHS, operations, sales) to resolve issues and monitor operations.
  • Logistics Planning & Equipment Maintenance: Plan transportation capacity (trucks, pumps, hoses), back up logistics scheduling, and oversee maintenance programs for all logistics equipment, either internally or through external contractors.
  • Administrative & Financial Oversight: Manage submission for transportation containment, verify supplier invoices, consolidate monthly cost data, and maintain compliance with vehicle regulations.
  • Team Management & Reporting: Manage logistics staff including hiring, performance evaluation, and training; report monthly on progress, cost reduction measures, bottlenecks, and solutions to the Logistics Director; maintain logistics records and reports.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • Min 2 – 3 years of experience in similar role and industry.
  • Excellent planning and tactical conceptualization abilities in operational problem-solving.
  • Good knowledge of operations and safety.
