This is a hands-on operational leadership role responsible for overseeing the Company's logistics, warehouse, fleet and facilities operations. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and cost-effective movement, storage and delivery of goods, while maintaining operational readiness, workplace facilities, regulatory compliance and service standards. The successful candidate will work closely with Procurement, Sales, Finance, HR and other departments, as well as suppliers, contractors and service providers, to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Oversee day-to-day logistics operations, including delivery planning, driver deployment, route coordination and delivery execution. Ensure deliveries are completed accurately, safely and within committed timelines.
Monitor delivery performance and investigate delays, failed deliveries, damages, discrepancies and customer complaints.
Establish and maintain effective logistics processes, work instructions and SOPs.
Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, staging and dispatch. Ensure proper handling, storage and identification of inventory.
Monitor warehouse accuracy, productivity and housekeeping standards and identify opportunities to improve warehouse layout, workflow, space utilisation and productivity.
Oversee the Company's vehicle and driver operations. Monitor vehicle deployment, maintenance schedules, roadworthiness, servicing, insurance and related documentation.
Monitor driver performance, attendance, conduct, safety and compliance with Company procedures.
Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and operational readiness of the Company's offices, warehouses and other premises. Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for building systems, equipment and facilities.
Support the implementation and enforcement of workplace safety requirements across logistics, warehouse, fleet and facilities operations. Conduct or coordinate regular operational, safety and facilities inspections.
Establish and monitor operational KPIs for logistics, warehouse, fleet and facilities functions and track performance against agreed targets.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in logistics, warehouse, operations, facilities, fleet or supply chain management.
Prior experience supervising or managing operational teams.
Practical experience in logistics, warehouse, fleet or facilities operations.
Strong understanding of operational processes, SOP implementation and performance management.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement practical solutions.
Strong organisational and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage multiple operational matters simultaneously.
Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable working with operational reports, trackers and data.
Strong sense of responsibility, accountability and attention to detail.
