Job summary

WinGD Ltd. in Singapore seeks a CMS Service Engineer to support 2-stroke engine service, commissioning and troubleshooting. The role requires hands-on engineering experience, strong English communication and a proactive, customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities include reporting, team supervision, HSE adherence and documentation. The position offers a dynamic global network, opportunities for development and a direct impact on sustainable shipping technology.

Qualifications

• Higher engineering degree with hands-on service/commissioning experience.
• Knowledge of 2-stroke engine behaviour, thermodynamics and vibrations.
• Experience with automation systems and electronics in marine service.
• Strong English communication and willingness to travel.
• Self-driven, proactive and focused on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Progress updates, final testing, handover and expense reporting.
• Lead the team under supervision during work execution.
• Perform daily office tasks as required and ensure HSE compliance.
• Provide internal/external reports and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate time/expense reporting after completion of works.
• Deliver maintenance, commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
• Explain technical issues in an educative, coaching manner.
• Maintain good customer relations while upholding CMS standards.

Main Responsibilities

• Progress update, perform final test, handing over, collect timesheet and expenses, prepare Service Work Report.
• Responsible for the team under his/her responsibilities during the work execution.
• Perform daily office activities as required.
• Responsible for HSE during the work execution
• Provide internal and external reports and as built documentation
• Collect and organize time and expense reports after completion of the respective works, report and inform the administrative personnel as required
• Provide maintenance / commissioning / troubleshooting activities as directed.
• Perform daily office activities as required.
• Convincing and initiative attitude to explain technical issues in an educative and coaching way.
• Maintain a good relation with customers without compromising CMS code of conduct policy and quality standards.

Education & Experience

• Higher education degree (BsC Mech. &/or Elect. Engineering) with sound experience as a Service Engineer or Commissioning Engineer.
• 2-Stroke Engine Knowledge: Feeling for engine performance, thermodynamics, vibrations, materials and structures.
• Experience of 2-stroke engine service & operation including automation system & electronics.
• PC user Software and simple "PC setup" skills are necessary.
• English at a fluent negotiation level is necessary, other languages of advantage.
• Self-driven and self-critical working behaviour with the target of continuous improvement.
• Has a clear understanding of the key success factors in our business and job responsibility.
