Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte. Ltd. seeks an attorney with at least 1 year PQE to render comprehensive legal advice across contract, IP, employment, and governance matters in a 1-year engagement at our Novena location in Singapore.

You will draft and vet contracts, MOUs, terms and conditions, NDAs, and related documents, liaise with regulatory bodies, and contribute to policy discussions and education initiatives. On-site work in Singapore with a competitive monthly salary.

Qualifications

• PQE of at least 1 year in private practice or in-house legal.
• Experience drafting and reviewing contracts and MOUs.
• Experience in legal research and stakeholder management.
• Trained in Law and registered under Legal Profession Act.

Responsibilities

• Render advice and provide practical solutions on contract, IP, employment, and corporate matters.
• Draft, vet, and provide advice on contracts, MOUs, terms, and NDAs.
• Draft and deliver legal talks and participate in legal tech initiatives.
• Support enforcement issues under regulatory acts as needed.

Job description

Period: 1 year
Location: Novena
Salary: Up to $7000 + 1 month completion bonus
Working hour: Mon to Thur: 8.30am to 6pm; Fri: 8.30am to 5.30pm

• Render advice and provide comprehensive and practical solutions on a wide range of legal issues, including contract law, intellectual property law, corporate governance, criminal law, employment law, family law, and regulatory matter
• Be involved in the legal groundwork for key policy changes, analyse new policies, advise on the required legislative changes, and draft or propose legislation amendments, including liaising with the Attorney- General's Chambers on such matters.
• Draft, vet, and provide legal advice on a range of contracts, MOUs, terms and conditions, and other documents, including those related to goods and services, IT, construction, investments, real estate, and nondisclosure agreements.
• Conduct educational legal talks and be involved in legal technology initiatives. Where required, be involved in the prosecution of various statutory offences under the Central Provident Fund Act, including preparing and conducting mentions, pre-trial conferences, and trials, as well as handling legal issues relating to enforcement and investigations.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of Post-Qualified Education (PQE)
• Relevant experience in providing legal advice, contract drafting and review, legal research, and stakeholder management in private practice and/or an in-house legal environment. Trained in Law and qualified under the Legal Profession Act.
