Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte. Ltd. in Singapore seeks a corporate/commercial lawyer with 3–5 years of experience to draft and structure complex deals, including collaborations, licensing, and joint ventures. About the Role

You'll be an integral part of the business and commercial teams, partnering senior management, top researchers, policy makers, and technology transfer professionals, while engaging external collaborators across hospitals, institutions of higher learning, MNCs, and government agencies.

What You Will Do

Deal Structuring & Transactional Work

• Design and draft agreements for collaborative research projects, commercialisation and licensing transactions, joint ventures, M&A and investment transactions, and funding and grant arrangements
• Structure complex multi-party deals and work across agencies and institutions

Legal Advisory & Risk Management

• Provide value-added legal, corporate, and policy advice to internal clients including management, researchers, and technology transfer professionals
• Facilitate deal closure and ensure legal risks and liabilities are effectively managed
• Collaborate with public agencies on emerging legislation

Policy & Governance

• Structure and craft internal policies
• Advise on corporate governance and regulatory matters across a diverse group of entities

What We Are Looking For

• LLB (Honours) Degree and admission to practice at the Singapore Bar; admission in other jurisdictions is advantageous
• 3-5 years of experience in corporate and commercial law and contract negotiations, in private practice and/or in-house
• Knowledge and experience in intellectual property law, technology licensing, M&A (including financing and shareholder matters), joint ventures, disposals, restructuring, and multi-jurisdictional listing rules is an advantage
