A Singapore-qualified Legal Counsel is sought to support cloud, technology, and e-commerce initiatives for a technology-focused organisation. With 3+ years of experience and Mandarin proficiency, you will draft and negotiate complex agreements, advise on regulatory compliance, and monitor evolving laws affecting digital services in Singapore.

You will liaise with internal teams, regulators, and Chinese counterparts, providing practical, commercially oriented legal guidance and policy development

Qualificações

• Qualified lawyer admitted in Singapore.
• At least 3 years of experience in cloud/tech/e-commerce law.
• Strong knowledge of data privacy, cybersecurity, platform governance and e-commerce laws.
• Proficient in Mandarin for communication with Chinese counterparts.

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements with customers, suppliers and partners.
• Review and improve online agreements, including customer privacy statements and website terms.
• Provide legal advice on cloud products, services, launches, operations and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor legislation and industry developments affecting cloud services and digital business in Singapore.
• Identify legal and commercial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Support dispute management and provide practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with local authorities on regulatory matters and information requests.
• Assist in developing internal legal policies, guidelines and governance documentation.
• Provide legal awareness training to business teams.

Seeking a Singapore-qualified Legal Counsel with 3+ years of experience in cloud, technology or e-commerce law. Mandarin proficiency is required to liaise with Chinese counterparts.

Our client is an established technology-focused organisation providing cloud-based solutions and digital services to business customers. The organisation operates in a dynamic, fast-evolving industry where legal compliance, data privacy and cybersecurity are key priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements with customers, suppliers and business partners.
• Review and improve online agreements, including customer agreements, privacy statements and website terms.
• Provide legal advice on cloud products and services, business launches, operations and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor legislation and industry developments affecting cloud services and digital businesses in Singapore.
• Identify legal and commercial risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
• Support dispute management and provide practical legal guidance to internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with local authorities on regulatory matters and information requests where required.
• Assist in developing internal legal policies, guidelines, corporate resolutions and governance documentation.
• Provide legal awareness training to business teams.

Requirements

• Hold a recognised legal qualification and be admitted to practise in Singapore.
• Have at least 3 years of relevant legal experience.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of cloud business and applicable laws and regulations, particularly in platform governance, data privacy, cybersecurity and e-commerce.
• Be proficient in Mandarin to support frequent work-related communication, coordination and legal discussions with Chinese-speaking counterparts in China.
• Experience in cloud services, technology or e-commerce businesses would be an advantage.
• Possess strong legal research, drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
• Be able to work independently, manage competing priorities and provide practical, commercially oriented legal advice.
• Demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
