Job description

We are currently looking for a Legal professional with experience working on Engineering, Procurement, and Construction projects to join our growing team at Axiom!

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the lead legal advisor for assigned data center development projects.
  • Provide proactive legal guidance throughout all phases of the project lifecycle—from land acquisition, design and construction, to commissioning and operation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate EPC contracts, design-build agreements, equipment supply contracts, and service-level agreements.
  • Real Estate & Permitting
    • Support land acquisition efforts, including due diligence, title review, lease/purchase agreements, and zoning.
    • Coordinate legal input on permitting, environmental impact assessments, and local authority approvals.
  • Construction & Commercial Contracts
    • Negotiate construction-related agreements with general contractors, consultants, and subcontractors.
    • Ensure contracts are aligned with risk management policies, budget targets, and delivery timelines.
  • Regulatory & Compliance
    • Monitor and advise on legal and regulatory requirements at local, national, and international levels (e.g., building codes, energy laws, ESG frameworks).
    • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure full legal compliance across the project.
  • Stakeholder & Risk Management
    • Work closely with project managers, procurement, engineering, and finance teams to align legal strategy with business goals.
    • Identify, mitigate, and manage legal risks and disputes throughout project execution.
  • External Counsel & Vendor Management
    • Manage and coordinate external legal advisors, ensuring efficiency and cost control.
    • Participate in vendor due diligence, onboarding, and legal negotiations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A minimum 5+ years’ experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of EPC contracts.
  • Exposure to working on data center projects, regulatory and compliance matters, cross border jurisdiction is an advantage.
