Job summary

GenScript Singapore seeks a Lean Manufacturing specialist to lead planning and implementation in the gene synthesis/production area. You will promote 5S, Kaizen, VSM and SOPs across lab and production lines, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous efficiency gains.

You will collaborate with R&D, production, and supply chain, organize lean training, and ensure safety and confidentiality. Fluency in Chinese and English aids cross-regional work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Industrial Engineering, Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, or related fields.
• Possess data analysis skills, proficient in Office, Visio, and other software, with strong problem analysis and solving abilities.
• Plan, organize, communicate, and coordinate with clear logical thinking.
• Result-oriented and continuous improvement mindset.
• Proficient in Chinese and English for cross-regional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Lean Manufacturing in the gene synthesis/production department.
• Promote 5S, Kaizen, VSM, and SOPs in lab and production processes.
• Analyze bottlenecks and waste; lead efficiency improvement projects.
• Drive process standardization, modularization, and automation optimization.
• Identify problems, propose improvements, and track results.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, supply chain, and other teams for end-to-end optimization.
• Organize training on lean tools; develop internal lean talent.
• Support internal cooperation and timely delivery of tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and confidentiality; complete other tasks as assigned.
• Provide operational support including claims administration, timesheets, records, and coordination.
