Job summary

GenScript Biotech Corporation in Singapore seeks a skilled lab professional to maintain equipment, follow safety protocols, and drive process improvements across gene synthesis and production workflows. The role involves hands-on plasmid extraction, colony screening, and sequencing, with focus on maintaining quality and delivery KPIs.

You will contribute to continuous optimization, work 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week, and collaborate within a diverse team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or above in bioengineering, pharmaceutical engineering, molecular biology, or related field.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and gene synthesis software with data analysis skills.
• Willingness to drive continuous process optimization and lean manufacturing knowledge.
• Strong organizational, management, and coordination abilities, plus the ability to handle unexpected events.
• Excellent service orientation, execution and communication skills, ability to work under pressure.
• Alignment with company culture and teamwork.
• Available to work 8-hour shifts, 5 days a week with two rest days.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies.
• Ensure all safety guidelines are followed and maintain a clean environment.
• Lead the resolution of technical challenges across platforms, optimize processes, troubleshoot equipment, and handle production/R&D anomalies.
• Independently perform plasmid extraction experiments, screen for positive colonies, and sequencing following SOP.
• Track On-Time Delivery (OTD) and other KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain understanding of gene synthesis, plasmid extraction sequencing, and related production workflows.
• Support continuous process improvement to enhance quality, efficiency, and delivery performance.
