Job summary

GenScript is seeking a biotech specialist in Singapore to support production and R&D by maintaining equipment, ensuring safety, troubleshooting across platforms, and performing plasmid extraction and sequencing per SOP.

The role requires a Master’s degree in bioengineering/pharmaceutical engineering/molecular biology, strong data analysis skills, and proficiency with gene synthesis software; emphasis on teamwork, reliability, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or above in bioengineering/pharmaceutical engineering/molecular biology
• Strong technical problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and gene synthesis software with data analysis skills
• Lean manufacturing knowledge and growth mindset
• Strong teamwork, organization and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment and assist in ordering laboratory supplies
• Ensure safety guidelines are followed and maintain a clean environment
• Lead resolution of technical challenges across platforms, optimize processes, troubleshoot equipment, and handle production/R&D tasks
• Conduct plasmid extraction experiments, screen for positives, and sequence per SOP
• Track On-Time Delivery (OTD) and other KPIs to identify improvements
• Maintain understanding of gene synthesis, plasmid extraction sequencing, and related workflows
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency and delivery
