Job summary

Capgemini Singapore is seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join a team building and supporting a large-scale national trade platform that processes millions of transactions annually across import, export, and transshipment activities.

You will contribute to the design, development, and operation of highly available, secure, and scalable systems while collaborating with engineers and stakeholders across product and business domains.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Significant experience in software engineering for enterprise-scale or high-transaction systems.
• Strong fundamentals across design, architecture, testing, CI/CD, observability, and security.
• Experience deploying and operating applications in cloud environments.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lead Software Engineer, you will:

• Design, develop, enhance, and support software products and platform capabilities

Requirements

Technical Skills & Experience

• Degree, diploma, or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
• Significant experience in software engineering, preferably involving complex, enterprise-scale, or high-transaction systems
• Strong software engineering fundamentals across the development lifecycle, including: Software design and architecture; Automated testing; CI/CD practices; Observability and monitoring; Application security
• Experience deploying and operating applications in cloud environments
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies

Preferred Technical Expertise

Candidates may possess experience in one of the following areas:
