Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Site Reliability Engineer in Singapore to define and drive reliability across the Athena Core team within Markets Technology. You will lead complex problems, mentor engineers, and guide resiliency initiatives in a fast-paced financial technology environment.

Responsibilities include designing and reviewing resiliency practices, establishing SLOs, and using AI-assisted workflows to accelerate incident response while ensuring security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on site reliability engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise system architecture, toil reduction, and other SRE best practices.
• Understanding of Python, Java/Spring Boot, .Net.
• Experience with enterprise AI capabilities in SRE workflows with validation.
• Ability to evaluate AI recommendations for correctness and risk, guardrails for usage.
• Strong understanding of Linux.
• Observability including monitoring, SLOs, and telemetry.
• CI/CD practices and tooling.
• Container orchestration.
• Networking troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge across technical disciplines and self-education.

Responsibilities

• Champions site reliability culture and shares knowledge internally.
• Leads initiatives to improve reliability using data-driven analysis to improve SLIs/ SLOs.
• Collaborates to establish SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets with stakeholders.
• Leads AI-enabled reliability workflows across SDLC and tooling with governance.
• Acts as main incident contact to quickly resolve issues and minimize financial impact.
• Mentors engineers and shares technical expertise.
• Leads adoption of AI-assisted reliability workflows in CI/CD and operations.
• First line of support for the Athena Core team.
