Job summary

NCS is seeking a Lead Product Engineer to drive the software development of our robotics platform and its applications. You will explore next-generation robotic software/hardware products in a startup-like environment and help shape the product roadmap.

You will lead cross-functional teams focused on AI-driven automation, system design, and end-to-end delivery for prototype systems and projects. This role demands strong technical leadership and innovation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in CS/CE/SE/Robotics or related field.
10+ years in software platform development with distributed systems experience.
5+ years in technical leadership roles heading multi-disciplinary teams.
Cloud-native architectures, microservices, API platform development experience.
AI/ML integration experience, especially with LLM/VLM.
Cyber-security awareness in robotics is valued.

Responsibilities

Lead software design and development for robotics platform and system solutions with AI/ML integration.
Develop and optimize ML algorithms for robotics applications to enhance functionality and efficiency.
Drive technical proposals with cross-functional teams across end-to-end system design and integration.
Translate architecture into software specifications and technical docs (SDK/API).
Define tests and performance metrics; ensure code quality and reviews.
Engage in client meetings as a technical expert to provide insights and options.
