Job summary

National University of Singapore's AM Centre seeks a Research Fellow to drive High Precision 3D Printing research for semiconductor and photonics applications. You will lead development of 2PP/DLP platforms and set strategic directions for advanced additive manufacturing, working with academia, industry partners, and government entities.

You will mentor researchers, craft competitive proposals, and steer lab operations and safety, aiming for high-impact publications and innovative outcomes.

Qualifications

• PhD in Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Photonics, Microelectronics, or a related discipline.
• At least 2 years of relevant R&D experience in high-precision 3D printing, semiconductor manufacturing, photonics, or advanced microfabrication.
• Strong expertise in high-resolution additive manufacturing technologies, such as two-photon polymerization (2PP) and digital light processing (DLP).
• Proven track record in leading research projects, securing research funding, and publishing in high-impact journals.
• Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with academic and industry partners.
• Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the research and development of high-precision 3D printing technologies for semiconductor and photonics applications.
• Lead design, development, and modification of the in-house 2PP platform.
• Define and execute the research strategy for advanced additive manufacturing and related fields.
• Lead multidisciplinary research programmes and establish collaborations with universities, research institutes, industry partners, and government agencies.
• Supervise and mentor researchers, engineers, and students, fostering excellence and growth.
• Prepare competitive research proposals, secure external funding, manage programmes, and disseminate outcomes via publications, patents, and conferences.
• Oversee laboratory operations, equipment management, procurement, and safety compliance.
