Nanyang Technological University Singapore's Singapore Centre for 3D Printing seeks a Research Fellow to advance metal multimaterial additive manufacturing. Qualifications

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Nanotechnology, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong background in mathematical modeling of multiscale and multiphysics phenomena.
• Experience applying fractal descriptors to interpret process behavior in AM.
• Proficiency with CAD platforms and AI/data-driven optimization approaches.

Responsabilités

• Conduct systematic experimental campaigns in multimaterial LPBF.
• Develop physics-based and data-driven models for multimaterial LPBF processes.
• Design multimaterial LPBF components and lattice structures.
• Study powder bed behavior and melt pool dynamics for process stability.
• Analyze results to establish process–material–structure relationships.
• Support automation, control, and in-process monitoring development for multimaterial LPBF.
• Document findings and contribute to publications and presentations.
• Assist project planning and ensure milestones meet industrial standards.
