Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline.
• Experience in additive manufacturing and computational design.
• Experience in biomaterials, tissue engineering, or biomedical applications.
• Experience in materials characterization, mechanical testing, microscopy, and image analysis.
• Experience with CAD, numerical modelling, optimization, or AI-assisted design is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary research environment.
• Good publication record in relevant research areas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent and collaborative research in additive manufacturing, computational design, biomaterials, and biomedical engineering.
• Design and optimize three-dimensional printed structures using computer-aided design, numerical modelling, data-driven optimization, and AI-assisted methods.
• Develop and characterize bioactive polymeric, ceramic, or composite materials for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications.
• Plan and perform additive manufacturing experiments, including process optimization, mechanical testing, structural characterization, and biological evaluation.
• Analyze experimental data and prepare technical reports, journal publications, and research presentations.
• Collaborate closely with researchers, students, clinicians, and industrial partners to support interdisciplinary research activities.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures.
