Job summary

Becton Dickinson Medical (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced EHS Process Safety Engineer to lead site safety programmes and environmental compliance for high-hazard operations. You will act as the SME for process safety, support capital projects, and drive PHAs, MOC/PSSR/PSI reviews and risk mitigation across Operations, Engineering and Facilities.

Responsibilities include reviewing P&IDs and environmental controls, ensuring regulatory adherence, and coaching teams on process safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and strong process safety background is required.
• Hands‑on experience with PHA/HAZOP, What‑If, LOPA, MOC, PSSR and PSI is expected.
• Experience with capital projects, start‑up, and regulatory compliance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain site Process Safety Management, Risk Management Programme and environmental compliance programmes for high-hazard operations.
• Act as site SME for process safety and environmental engineering, supporting changes and commissioning.
• Facilitate and lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and ensure closure of recommendations.
• Own or support MOC, PSSR, PSI, operating procedures and mechanical integrity interfaces.
• Review P&IDs, PFDs, relief protection, interlocks and environmental controls.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore regulatory requirements and BD EHS standards; support audits and inspections.
• Provide technical review of fire protection, spill controls, wastewater and emergency response arrangements.
• Support incident investigations involving process safety and environmental events; close corrective actions.
• Coach operations and engineering teams on process safety principles and risk assessment quality.
