GrabTaxi Holdings Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Lead Perception Engineer in Singapore to lead the perception stack from sensor data to real-time world understanding.

You will be hands-on across perception algorithms and runtime improvements, pushing milestones through evaluation, debugging, and iterative enhancements. You will start with perception foundations—sensor integrity, calibration, and tooling for validation workflows—then expand to broader perception delivery, reporting to the Senior

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping or operating perception systems for robotics, AV, or ADAS.
• Experience leading a small team to a state-of-the-art result (e.g. CVPR competition).
• Strong knowledge across machine learning, perception, prediction, planning, and simulation.
• Deep fundamentals in geometry and multi-sensor systems with calibration know-how.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python for production-quality code.
• Experience in log-driven root-cause analysis in production environments.
• Engineering discipline with reproducible workflows and clear metrics.
• Experience leveraging AI tools to drive efficiency and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Lead perception capabilities across detection, tracking, and multi-sensor integration with rigorous evaluation.
• Own perception foundations including sensor integrity and calibration for multi-sensor suite.
• Develop diagnostics and automated checks to catch geometry/time-sync issues early.
• Collaborate with Integration, Data, and Infra teams to ensure reliability in production-like conditions.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical standards across cross-functional partners.
