Job summary

JPMorgan Chase within Prime Finance Services is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to architect and deliver market-leading technology products in a global setting. You’ll contribute technically across multiple areas and partner with top technologists worldwide to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities include designing real-time trading systems, tackling large-scale engineering challenges with Kafka/AMPS, and ensuring performance and stability across the SDLC with CI/CD and security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experience.
• 5+ years experiences in developing real-time low-latency Java based application in financial services in the Equities domain.
• Proven expertise in GenAI and Copilot.
• Proficiency in Java/Spring, data structures, and performance tuning (including garbage collection).
• Proficiency in testing and debugging low latency applications.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Spearhead the design and development of real-time, mission-critical trading platform using Java and KDB+/q.
• Tackle large-scale engineering challenges with technologies like Kafka and AMPS.
• Be a team player to innovate, troubleshoot, and optimize for performance and stability.
• Foster a culture of creativity, inclusion, and technical excellence.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver solutions that drive business success.
