Job summary

GMP Technologies on Jurong Island is seeking an E&I Engineer to support electrical and instrumentation maintenance in a chemical manufacturing environment. You will plan daily, ad-hoc, and shutdown activities, ensure safety, efficiency, and budget adherence, and coordinate with a team and external vendors.

The candidate should hold a degree in Electrical/Instrumentation/Mechatronics and have 3+ years in petrochemical/pharma sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation/Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 3 years of petrochemical/pharmaceutical industries experience.
• Sound knowledge of electrical equipment, process instruments and process control.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare daily, ad-hoc, and shutdown maintenance safely within schedule and budget.
• Coach and mentor Senior/Superintendent staff.
• Review maintenance planning and execution documents (e.g., Long Term Maintenance Plan, Critical Equipment List).
• Draft and revise maintenance work procedures and work instructions.
• Collaborate to analyze plant equipment data for predictive to preventive maintenance and ISO documentation.
• Support shutdown maintenance planning and execution including statutory inspection of equipment.
• Provide technical support to plants, production, and external vendors.
• Lead troubleshooting of complex problems and drive countermeasures.
• Propose improvement ideas and lead projects for management consideration.
• Execute electrical & instrumentation modification works.
• Conduct training for internal stakeholders and in-house contractors.
