Job summary

ITConnectUS in Singapore seeks an experienced Database Administrator to manage Sybase ASE and PostgreSQL environments, ensuring availability and reliability.

You will handle backups, restores, performance tuning, and incident response, actively guiding high severity issues to resolution.

Work with development, service managers, and architects on replication, clustering, upgrades, and adoption of new ASE/PostgreSQL features to keep production ready.

Qualifications

• Must have strong technical knowledge in Sybase ASE, Replication server and Postgress.
• Backup and restore of databases.
• Tuning databases and application queries and perform server access/login management.
• Performance tuning, troubleshooting, and resolving database integrity issues.
• Experience to Production Server Environment.
• Should have handled database installations, upgrade & patching as Sybase and PostgreSql DBA.
• Application DBA Exposure.
• Sybase ASE 15.x/PostgreSQL 12.x and above database administration experience.
• Knowledge in Replication, Clustering in Sybase/PostgreSQL 12.x and above.
• Exposure to new features of current ASE /PostgreSQL version.
• Development support/ debugging BAU issues.
• OS level activities related to database tasks.
