Job summary

Resorts World Sentosa is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead the design, integration, and validation of ride and show control systems in a fast-paced theme park environment.

You will oversee PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, motion systems, and industrial networks while coordinating with OEMs and vendors to ensure safety and reliability. Strong communication and project-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in related engineering discipline.
• 5–7 years in controls engineering or similar industries.
• 2+ years in project management.
• Experience with industrial control systems and asset replacement projects.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and networks.
• Ability to read schematics and project docs.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, conduct feasibility studies, manage budgets, schedules, procurement, contracts, risks, and resources to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
• Provide technical oversight for ride and show control systems, including PLCs, Safety PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, motion control, and networks.
• Review software docs, schematics, network architectures for compliance with safety and maintenance needs.
• Coordinate installation, testing, validation, commissioning, FAT/SAT, and site acceptance activities for ride/show systems.
• Manage OEMs, system integrators, consultants, vendors, and contractors; oversee deliverables, cybersecurity, and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and hazard analyses; participate in risk reviews and change management.
• Maintain configuration management, version control, backups, and project records.
• Lead project meetings and provide updates on progress and risks.
• Drive reliability, automation performance, system availability, and lifecycle cost improvements.
• Support standardization of engineering specs, software management, testing, and documentation templates.
