Resorts World at Sentosa Pte Ltd is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer to lead project execution across ride and show control systems. You will oversee scopes, budgets and schedules while coordinating with OEMs and vendors to ensure on-time delivery and safety compliance.
Qualified candidates have 5–7 years in controls/industrial automation, strong PLC/SCADA knowledge, and experience in project management or supervision.
Define project scope, conduct feasibility studies, manage budgets, schedules, procurement, contracts, risks, and resources to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Provide technical oversight for ride and show control systems, including PLCs, Safety PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, motion control systems, industrial networks, and associated control infrastructure.
Review software documentation, control schematics, network architectures, and technical designs to ensure compliance with operational, maintenance, and safety requirements.
Coordinate installation, software integration, testing, validation, commissioning, FAT, SAT, and site acceptance activities for ride and show systems.
Manage OEMs, system integrators, consultants, software vendors, and contractors; oversee performance, technical deliverables, cybersecurity requirements, and project schedules.
Ensure compliance with Universal standards, ASTM, EN13814, BCA regulations, local statutory requirements, and engineering best practices. Participate in hazard analyses, FMEA, safety reviews, and software change management processes.
Maintain proper software and hardware configuration management, version control, backups, documentation, and project records.
Lead project meetings and provide regular updates on progress, technical issues, risks, and mitigation plans.
Drive initiatives to improve ride reliability, automation performance, system availability, cybersecurity resilience, maintainability, safety, and lifecycle costs. Capture lessons learnt and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes, controls engineering standards, and maintenance practices.
Support the development and standardization of controls engineering specifications, software management practices, testing procedures, and project documentation templates.
Degree in Control & Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Controls Engineering, Industrial Automation, Manufacturing, Transportation, Power Generation, Theme Park, Oil & Gas, or related industries.
Minimum 2 years of project management, project engineering, or supervisory experience.
Experience in project management and execution of industrial control systems, automation systems, ride/show control systems, or asset replacement projects.
Strong knowledge of PLCs and Safety PLCs, HMIs and SCADA systems, Motion control systems, Industrial communication networks, Instrumentation and control architecture
Experience in control system design, integration, testing, commissioning, validation, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols
Ability to interpret control schematics, network diagrams, engineering specifications, software documentation, and project documents.
Knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and risk management.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and coordination skills.
Comfortable working at heights and within operational attraction environments.
