Dyson is seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer - Advanced Control Systems to lead the design, development and deployment of advanced control across our platform. You will shape architectures, define control strategies and system models for high‑performance, real‑time applications, and work with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

Ideal candidate brings 10+ years in control system design with leadership experience, proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C/C++, and

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in control system design and implementation, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
Hands-on experience with modelling and real-time implementation of control systems.
Familiarity with ISO 26262, DO-178C, IEC 61508 is desirable.

Responsabilités

Lead Control System Architecture and Development for complex platforms and applications.
Define control strategies, algorithms and system models to optimise performance, reliability and scalability.
Drive technical reviews, validation and verification to meet safety and regulatory standards; develop system specs and test plans.
Mentor and guide engineering teams in control system design, modelling and simulation; evaluate emerging technologies.
Collaborate with software, hardware, systems and product teams to integrate control solutions; represent Dyson in technical forums.
