Job summary
Dyson Singapore is seeking a Senior Power Systems & Drives Engineer to lead development of high-performance power electronics for our innovative products. You will design motor drives, heater drives, APFC, and power conversion systems, working with a multidisciplinary team from concept to production.
The role emphasizes robust hardware architectures, rigorous design reviews, and ensuring reliability, manufacturability, and cost targets across product programmes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of industry experience in power electronics hardware design.
- Experience with motor drives and APFC design is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop motor drive hardware for high-performance electromechanical systems.
- Develop heater drive hardware and power control solutions.
- Architect AC-DC and DC-DC power electronics solutions for next-generation products.
- Select and evaluate power semiconductor technologies including MOSFET, IGBT, SiC, GaN.
- Perform circuit simulations, hardware validation, and design optimization.
- Drive design reviews and ensure hardware quality, reliability, manufacturability, and cost targets.
