Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with MV switchgear installation.
• Ability to read single-line diagrams, schematics, and layouts.
• Familiarity with electrical safety practices and site procedures.
• Willingness to work on site and support project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate 22kV switchgear panel installation according to approved drawings.
• Oversee cable termination, busbar connections, earthing and inter-panel wiring.
• Inspect switchgear panel assembly for mechanical integrity and electrical connections.
• Coordinate pre-commissioning checks including insulation resistance and torque verification.
• Coordinate with engineers and client representatives during testing and commissioning.
• Identify installation defects and coordinate corrective actions to maintain quality.
• Ensure site activities comply with safety requirements including lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Prepare installation checklists, test records and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate site personnel, subcontractors and other trades to meet project schedules.
• Monitor work progress and installation quality to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain housekeeping and protect installed equipment during installation and commissioning.
• Liaise with engineers, project teams, clients and other site personnel to resolve issues.
