Job summary

U SQUARE ENGINEERING & SERVICES PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced commissioning engineer to lead the start-up, testing and handover of electrical systems, including 22kV switch gear, transformers and protection relays, in Singapore. You will prepare commissioning documentation and oversee live equipment testing with a focus on safety and quality.

You will coordinate with client QA/QC and testing teams, witness FAT activities, and generate project handover documentation and MSCRs as required.

Responsibilities

• Programming, testing, commissioning and handover of Electrical Systems (22KV Switch gears & transformers, protection relays, and hipot).
• Prepare and maintain commissioning documentation including client submissions.
• Supervise start-up sequences, reliability tests and performance tests.
• Monitor functional tests to prepare equipment for first start-up.
• Lead commissioning technicians to perform live equipment testing safely and with QAQC integration.
• Support FAT with contractor resources and prepare inspection and progress reports.
• Coordinate with client QAQC/testing teams and share project information.
• Create Maintenance System Change Requests (MSCRs) at handover.
• Ensure commissioning acceptance criteria align with design specs and client requirements.
