Job summary

MACHTRACO MARINE PTE LTD is seeking an experienced lathe and grinding operator to join our workshop in Singapore. You will set up machines, fixtures, tooling and offsets with precision, and you will be responsible for basic maintenance and daily checks.

A qualified candidate understands engineering drawings, ISO tolerances, and can read either Chinese/Mandarin or English. You must be able to operate overhead crane for material handling and complete WSQ Workplace Safety and Health in Metal Work

Qualifications

• Ability to perform machine and job setup by preparing fixtures, tooling, alignment, setting of offsets/eccentricity with precision accuracy.
• Able to understand engineering drawings, specifications, and familiar with ISO tolerances.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and daily checklist (ie. oil level, cutting tools are in proper order).
• Basic operation, lifting and material handling with overhead crane.
• Ability to read and speak either in Chinese/Mandarin or English.
• Will have to undergo WSQ Apply Workplace Safety and Health in Metal Work (previously known as MSOC) and is required to hold valid certificate to operate machinery.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines with fixtures, tooling, and offsets to tight tolerances.
• Perform daily maintenance and tool checks.
• Operate and control overhead crane for loading/unloading materials.
• Read engineering drawings and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a safe and organized workshop, following WSQ requirements.
