Job summary

Seal Care (S) Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Conventional Lathe Machinist for our Singapore workshop. The role requires hands-on lathe operation, ability to read engineering drawings and tolerances, and skill in turning, facing, boring, threading, taper turning and grooving.

Candidate should be able to select cutting tools, speeds and feeds independently, machine shafts and bearing components, and work with stainless steel and other engineering materials.

HIRING – CONVENTIONAL LATHE MACHINIST

Location: Singapore

Position: Conventional Lathe / Manual Machinist

Full-Time Position

We are looking for an experienced Conventional Lathe Machinist for our engineering workshop.

• Minimum 3–5 years hands‑on experience in conventional/manual lathe machining
• Must be able to operate lathe independently
• Good experience in turning, facing, boring, threading, taper turning and grooving
• Able to machine shafts, sleeves, bushes, bearing housings, pump parts and repair components
• Able to read engineering drawings and tolerances
• Good knowledge of Vernier, micrometer, bore gauge and dial gauge
• Able to check shaft runout, concentricity and dimensional accuracy
• Experience in precision machining and repair/reconditioning jobs preferred
• Must be able to select cutting tools, speeds and feeds independently
• Experience machining stainless steel, SS316, carbon steel, duplex and other engineering materials is an advantage
• Must be hardworking, responsible and quality-conscious
