Job summary

MACHTRACO MARINE PTE LTD is hiring an experienced lathe and grinding operator in Singapore. You will set up fixtures, tooling, and offsets with precision, read engineering drawings, and ensure ISO tolerances.

Daily duties include basic machine maintenance and material handling with an overhead crane. Proficiency in English or Chinese/Mandarin is required, and you must hold the WSQ Safety & Health in Metal Work certificate.

Qualifications

• Ability to read engineering drawings and understand ISO tolerances.
• Ability to perform machine and job setup with fixtures, tooling, alignment, and offsets with precision.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and daily checks (oil level, tools in order).
• Operate lathe and grinding machines; include lifting and material handling with overhead crane.
• Fluent in English or Chinese/Mandarin.

Job description

Hiring experienced lathe and grinding operator.

• Ability to perform machine and job setup by preparing fixtures, tooling, alignment, setting of offsets/eccentricity with precision accuracy.


• Able to understand engineering drawings, specifications, and familiar with ISO tolerances.


• Perform basic machine maintenance and daily checklist (ie. oil level, cutting tools are in proper order).


• Basic operation, lifting and material handling with overhead crane.


• Ability to read and speak either in Chinese/Mandarin or English.


• Will have to undergo WSQ Apply Workplace Safety and Health in Metal Work (previously known as MSOC) and is required to hold valid certificate to operate machinery.
