Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe machinist for on-site work in Singapore. You will set up and operate CNC lathe machines, interpret drawings and GD&T, load materials, and inspect parts with precision tools to ensure dimensional accuracy.
Responsibilities include optimizing tool paths, performing routine maintenance, maintaining logs, and collaborating with engineers and QA for continuous improvement while following safety protocols.
Job Description:
Set up and operate CNC Lathe machines (e.g., Youji).
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T and technical documentation.
Load raw materials and inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (Calipers, Micrometers, etc.).
Optimize and adjust machine settings and tool paths to ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues during production.
Maintain detailed production records, logs and inspection reports.
Collaborate with engineers, quality assurance and the production team for continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and shop floor best practices.
Performing any other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirement:
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in CNC Lathe machining.
Experience in a precision manufacturing environment (e.g., semiconductor, medical, defence, etc.) is a plus.
Proficiency in G-code programming and operation of CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360 or similar).
Skilled in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, GD&T and CAD/CAM files.
Familiar with tool selection, feed/speed calculations, and tool wear compensation.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
