Job summary

BOSS MANPOWER PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking an experienced CNC lathe operator to join our manufacturing team. You will read engineering drawings, set up tools, run simple programs, load/unload parts, inspect with calipers and micrometers, and document results.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on CNC lathe experience, a careful eye for detail, and the ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends when production demands. Good teamwork and safety compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on CNC lathe experience and ability to read engineering drawings.
• Proficient in machine setup, tool setting, simple program modification, and use of measuring instruments.
• Willing to work shifts, stand long hours, and work overtime to meet production schedules.
• Practical knowledge of metal cutting processes and basic troubleshooting.
• Follow site instructions and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and perform simple edits for CNC lathe programs, install fixtures, and set up the machine according to drawings.
• Load and unload workpieces, complete tool-setting, conduct metal turning, and monitor the machining process.
• Inspect workpiece dimensions with callipers and micrometres and adjust parameters as needed.
• Replace cutting tools and resolve basic machine malfunctions to keep equipment running.
• Carry out routine CNC lathe maintenance and log maintenance records.
