Job summary

TEMPER PTE. LTD. at Duxton Hill invites a Floor Supervisor to oversee front-of-house operations across both the wine room and lounge, ensuring a refined yet welcoming guest experience.

You will lead by example, brief staff on reservations, wine and cocktail features, and service priorities, and oversee guest interactions with composure during peak periods. You will manage guest feedback, table turnover, and floor flow while coordinating with kitchen and bar teams; training and scheduling duties

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory or senior service experience in F&B
• Strong leadership and team motivation skills
• Composed guest-facing approach during busy evenings
• Familiarity with wine and cocktail service
• Willing to work rotating shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff across both the wine room and lounge levels, ensuring consistent, polished service
• Lead by example on the floor, stepping in on service and guest interactions when needed
• Brief the team before each shift on reservations, wine/cocktail features, and service priorities
• Personally manage guest feedback, special requests, and any service recovery situations
• Monitor table turnover, seating flow, and overall floor operations across both levels, including during live music sets
• Uphold service standards, presentation, and cleanliness consistent with temper's refined positioning
• Support training and on-the-job coaching for Floor Captains and junior waitstaff
• Liaise closely with the kitchen, bar, and wine team to ensure smooth, well-paced service
• Assist with basic administrative duties such as scheduling input, stock checks, and end-of-shift reporting

Wine Room & Lounge is a sensorial hideaway at Duxton Hill, blending an intimate upstairs wine room with a livelier downstairs cocktail lounge - over 1,200 wine labels, creative cocktails, live jazz, soul and funk, and a refined yet unpretentious dining experience. We're looking for a Floor Supervisor to lead front-of-house service across both floors, ensuring every guest experience matches the precision and character of the venue.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience in a supervisory or senior service role within F&B, ideally in fine dining, a wine bar, or an upscale lounge setting
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide and motivate a team
• Composed, guest-focused approach, particularly during busy evenings with live entertainment
• Familiarity with wine and cocktail service is a strong plus
• Willing to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, given temper's later operating hours

Work Schedule

5-day work week, 44 hours/week. Overtime pay for hours beyond 44/week
