Job summary

COIM ASIA PACIFIC PTE LTD is seeking a Chemistry-focused R&D support professional to assist in developing new projects and to conduct analytical work in Imuthane labs.

The role involves assisting in raw material source approvals, quality troubleshooting, and process modifications under supervision, with a focus on documentation, safety, and test sample analyses.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Chemistry.
• Fresh or 1 to 2 years working experience in chemical industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing new R&D projects and conduct R&D and analytical work.
• Follow instructions to assist in approval of new sources of raw materials.
• Assist in Imuthane production in quality trouble-shooting.
• Assist in process modification when deemed necessary by production.
• Update and file analysis reports and other documents.
• Ensure consumables are sufficient for daily operation of Imuthane labs.
• Assist failure analyses on customers’ complaints and testing of samples sent by customers.
• Assist in analytical method development through collaboration with external laboratories.
• Carry out safety and housekeeping activities in the department.
• Participate in the company’s safety and health committee when required.
• Assist in sample preparation from small scale to large scale when receiving customer requests from sales.
• Any other duties as required by supervisor

Job Responsibilities

• Report to the R&D Manager (Imuthane)




• To follow instruction to assist in developing new R&D project and conducting R&D and analytical work




• To follow instruction to assist in approval of new sources of raw materials




• To assist Imuthane production in quality trouble-shooting




• To assist in process modification when deemed necessary by production




• To update and file analysis reports and other documents.




• To ensure that all consumables are sufficient for daily operation of Imuthane labs




• To assist failure analyses on customers’ complaints and provide customer support through testing of samples sent by customers




• To assist in analytical method development through collaboration with external laboratories




• To carry out safety and house keeping activities in the department.




• To participate in the company’s safety and health committee when required.




• To assist in sample preparation from small scale to large scale when receiving customer request from sales.




• Any other duties as and when required to be done by supervisor
