Job summary

AlwaysHired Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an experienced Lab Technician to join the Metallurgical Laboratory team within a well-established aerospace MRO.

The role involves QC testing for production, keeping precise records, and ensuring traceability of test coupons and lab data. You will work across morning and afternoon shifts with door-to-door transport islandwide and a competitive benefits package including AWS and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in metallurgical laboratory.
• Knowledge of aerospace materials and metallurgical processes.
• Experience with laboratory testing equipment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory quality control testing for daily production, repair development and process investigations.
• Maintain accurate records and the laboratory database for test samples and evaluation results.
• Ensure proper storage, documentation and traceability of test coupons and laboratory records.
• Maintain the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) database for laboratory chemicals.
• Perform routine maintenance, servicing and cleaning of laboratory equipment.
• Maintain good housekeeping, safety and environmental standards within the laboratory.
• Coordinate sample preparation and submission to external testing laboratories when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Summary:

• Location: East Area

• 5-Day Work Week (8 hours, Morning & Afternoon shift only)

• Morning: 6:30am - 4:15pm

• Afternoon: 4:00pm - 1:45am

• Door to Door Transport Provided Islandwide

The Role:

• Perform laboratory quality control testing for daily production, repair development and process investigations, including coating microstructure, welding hardness and tensile strength testing.

• Maintain accurate records and the laboratory database for test samples and evaluation results.

• Ensure proper storage, documentation and traceability of test coupons and laboratory records.

• Maintain the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) database for laboratory chemicals.

• Perform routine maintenance, servicing and cleaning of laboratory equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a metallurgical laboratory preferred, with knowledge of aerospace materials and control of metallurgical processes
