MANPOWER STAFFING SERVICES (SINGAPORE) PTE LTD is recruiting a Metallurgical Lab Technician (Aerospace/Shift) to conduct metallurgical laboratory activities supporting daily production, repair development, and process investigations. The role requires handling quality control testing and maintaining lab records.

The successful candidate will possess a Diploma or Higher NITEC in Engineering with at least 2 years in an aerospace metallurgical lab, be able to read work orders, and be willing to

Qualifications

• Diploma or Higher NITEC in Engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a metallurgical laboratory with aerospace materials knowledge.
• Able to read and interpret work orders and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Willing to perform rotating shift work.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing in the laboratory for daily production, repair development, and process investigations (e.g. thermal spray coating microstructure evaluation, welding hardness testing, tensile strength testing, etc.)
• Maintain laboratory database to track test samples issued, received, and corresponding evaluation results
• Ensure proper storage, documentation, and traceability of all test coupons and evaluation records
• Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) database for all chemical products used in the laboratory
• Responsible for maintenance, servicing, and cleaning of laboratory equipment
• Ensure good housekeeping practices are consistently maintained in the laboratory
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies
• Coordinate and prepare samples for submission to external testing laboratories as required
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Job Summary

• This role is primarily responsible for conducting all metallurgical laboratory activities to support daily production, repair development, and process investigation requirements.

Requirements

• Able to read and interpret work orders and perform in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Willing to perform rotating shift work
• Able to wear required PPE, including respirator, safety shoes, and safety glasses
