Job summary

AlwaysHired Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Metallurgical Laboratory Technician to support daily production, repair development, and process investigations.

You will perform QC testing and maintain lab records to ensure traceability of test results, with emphasis on metal alloys and aerospace materials knowledge. The role requires a Diploma or Higher NITEC in Engineering, at least 2 years in a metallurgical lab, and willingness to rotate shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Higher NITEC in Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a metallurgical laboratory preferred, with knowledge of aerospace materials and control of metallurgical processes.
• Able to read and interpret work orders and perform in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to perform rotating shift work.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing in the laboratory for daily production, repair development processes, and process investigations (e.g. thermal spray coating microstructure evaluation, welding hardness testing, tensile strength testing, etc.)
• Maintain laboratory database to track test samples issued, received, and corresponding evaluation results
• Ensure proper storage, documentation, and traceability of all test coupons and evaluation records
• Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) database for all chemical products used in the laboratory
• Responsible for maintenance, servicing, and cleaning of laboratory equipment

Job Summary:

• Working Hours: Work 4 Days Off 2 Days
  • Morning Shift: 6:30 AM – 4:15 PM
  • Afternoon Shift: 4:00 PM – 1:45 AM
• Location: Changi (Company transport provided islandwide)
