Job summary

CLPS Global is seeking an Application/Production Support professional in Singapore with strong Java J2EE experience. The role focuses on ensuring availability, performance, and stability of Java J2EE applications in a bank/financial setting.

You will troubleshoot production issues, monitor system health, run SQL queries, and use Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting for automation. Banking exposure is aplus and a degree in IT/CS is required.

Qualifications

• Recent experience working with Java J2EE applications.
• Experience in an application support role for at least 1 year; developers willing to learn.
• Proficient in Java/J2EE and Unix, SQL.
• Knowledge of web applications, batch jobs, JBOSS, MariaDB, SQL, Shell.
• Knowledge of job scheduling and MQ setup; C:D setup is a plus.
• Banking industry exposure is a plus; eager to learn and collaborate.
• Dynamic, team player with ownership and SLA discipline.
• IT/Bachelor's degree holder with strong IT background and hands-on SQL/Linux.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support for Java J2EE applications, ensuring availability, stability, and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to applications, batch jobs, databases, and middleware.
• Monitor application health, system performance, and batch job executions for smooth operations.
• Write and execute SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and issue analysis.
• Use Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting for operational support and automation.
• Support deployment activities, releases, and environment configurations with minimal disruption.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to investigate incidents.
• Maintain and update system documentation, SOPs, incident logs, and procedures.
• Support JBOSS, MariaDB, MQ setup, job scheduling tools, and file transfer processes where applicable.

• Experience in programming languages such as JAVA/J2EE.
• Knowledge of web applications, batch jobs, JBOSS, MariaDB, SQL, Shell
• Knowledge of Job scheduling, MQ setup , C:D setup experience is a plus
• Exposure to banking industry is a plus
• Dynamic individual with thirst to learn
• Strong team player with excellent inter-personal skills
• Ownership oriented and ability to meet SLAs with no compromise on the quality of the work
• Must be graduate from IT or Computer Science
