Job summary

ITCAN PTE. LIMITED in Singapore is seeking an experienced IT Support Engineer to provide L1/L2 application maintenance and on-site technical support.

You will monitor systems, troubleshoot issues, log incidents, and coordinate with L3 teams and vendors to ensure timely resolution and minimal business disruption. The ideal candidate has a Diploma/Degree in EE/CS, 2+ years in maintenance or server infrastructure, knowledge of Kubernetes logs, virtualization platforms, cloud orchestration, and

Qualifications

Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Communications Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years in application maintenance, support or server infrastructure setup.
Experience participating in Kubernetes cluster projects, with proficiency in using relevant commands to check application logs.
Experience with virtualization technologies: VMware, Xen, KVM, OpenStack, Cloud Stack, Azure Stack.
Experience with cloud orchestration, configuration management and auto-scaling techniques.
Thorough knowledge of networking, routers, switches, and WiFi setup.
Hands on experience in deploying ceph with file systems such as object storage, rbd, cephfs.
Knowledge of storage technologies: NAS, SAN, SDS.
Experience with automation tools such as Salt/Chef/Puppet/Ansible.
Experience with load balancing for TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, routings.
Experience in using software version control
Knowledge of IT security standards (e.g., CIS or IM8) and IT security policy management.
Experience in coding/scripting languages (bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.).
Ability to install, use and configure various Linux OS (Redhat, Ubuntu, CentOS).
Experience in system installation planning and execution.

Responsibilities

Provide L1/L2 support and perform system checks (CPU, disk usage, logs, services).
Troubleshoot and resolve system and application issues, with on-site support as needed.
Monitor application health and system alerts; escalate as required.
Log incidents and service requests; ensure timely resolution.
Coordinate with L3 teams and vendors for escalation and follow-up.
Perform routine maintenance: updates, patching, backups.
Maintain documentation of issues, fixes and procedures.
Participate in system testing, deployment and post-deployment support.
Assist in user access management and configuration tasks.
