Job summary

VRWORLD PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a kitchen support role to assist with preparing ingredients, assembling desserts and maintaining cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.

You will follow exact recipes and SOPs, handling labeling, portioning and storage while ensuring hygiene and safety standards. Training will be provided, with weekend/evening shifts preferred to meet demand.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen is helpful; training provided.
• Ability to follow gram-based recipes and SOPs.
• Must maintain good personal hygiene and clean workspace.
• Weekend/evening shifts and holidays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Wash, weigh, measure and portion ingredients per recipes.
• Assist with preparation of desserts and menu items.
• Portion, label, chill, store and rotate foods using FIFO.
• Maintain clean work surfaces, floors and equipment.
• Receive supplies and organize ingredients in stock areas.
• Follow food-safety, hygiene and safety procedures.
• Report quality or stock issues to kitchen supervisor.

Job description

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by washing, weighing, measuring and portioning them according to recipes
• Assist with the preparation of black sesame desserts, traditional tong sui, tofu pudding and other menu items
• Portion, label, chill, store and rotate prepared food properly
• Follow gram-based recipes and production SOPs exactly with no ingredient substitutions, quantity changes or recipe adjustments without approval
• Maintain the cleanliness of workbenches, floors, sinks, storage areas and equipment
• Receive supplies and arrange ingredients neatly using FIFO stock rotation
• Follow all food-safety, personal-hygiene and workplace-safety procedures
• Inform the kitchen supervisor immediately of any quality, stock or equipment problems

About you

• Kitchen experience is helpful but not essential; training will be provided
• Basic English or Chinese communication skills
• Reliable, punctual and willing to learn
• Able to follow recipes and instructions accurately
• Comfortable with repetitive preparation and cleaning work
• Able to stand for extended periods and safely carry kitchen supplies
• Able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment
• Must maintain good personal hygiene and a clean working area
• Food-handling certification is preferred or must be obtained if required
• Availability for weekends, public holidays and evening shifts is preferred
