Job summary

JAPAN FOODS BRIDGE PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Kitchen Operations role focused on food preparation, safety and hygiene.

You will support cooks, handle vegetables and meat, and maintain clean, organized stations in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a WSQ Food & Hygiene Certificate, ability to work split shifts including weekends and public holidays, and the stamina to perform manual tasks in a warm, oily setting.

Qualifications

• WSQ Food & Hygiene Certificate is required.
• Able to work split shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Physically fit to perform manual tasks in a warm, oily environment.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the kitchen as required.
• Assist the cook in food preparation including frying, cooking soup, and cutting vegetables and meat.
• Perform deep frying tasks, prepare salad, peel egg shells, make gyoza, etc.
• Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage; prepare sauces and marinades per recipes.
• Follow safety SOP and wear safety equipment while working in the kitchen.
• Wash pots, pans and trays; maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and equipment.
• Handle any other duties assigned by Chef.
