Job summary

AMICI EVENTS & CATERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a hands-on Kitchen Assistant to support daily kitchen operations, food preparation, basic cooking support, cleaning and general kitchen duties in a busy environment.

You will assist with ingredient preparation, maintain cleanliness, follow food safety standards, and support service operations. No experience is required for learners, with opportunities to grow within the team.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen, F&B or catering is advantageous.
• No experience required for suitable candidates willing to learn.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, cutting, portioning, and packing ingredients.
• Support chefs and cooks during daily kitchen operations.
• Prepare ingredients according to instructions and standard procedures.
• Assist with simple cooking tasks where required.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
• Wash and clean kitchen tools, utensils, trays, containers, and equipment.
• Ensure ingredients are stored properly and labelled correctly.
• Assist with receiving, checking, and arranging kitchen supplies.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards.
• Support stock rotation using FIFO where applicable.
• Carry out other kitchen duties assigned by the supervisor or chef.
