Job summary

MANDATE OF MANPOWER PTE. LTD. is looking for a kitchen crew member to prepare and cook food to service standards in a busy Singapore kitchen.

You will maintain hygiene, manage mise en place, and assist in daily operations. Prior experience is not required; you must be a team player who can follow recipes. The role is on-site in Singapore with on-the-job training provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to service standards.
• Perform mise en place at opening and closing.
• Keep food prep areas clean and hygienic.
• Wash utensils and store them properly.
• Sort, store, and distribute ingredients.
• Ensure quality and presentation per recipes.
• Adhere to portion controls and chef's methods.
• Prepare guests’ orders in a timely manner.
• Monitor equipment usage and maintain tools.
• Dispose of waste regularly and clean kitchen areas.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Job Responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Prepare and cook food for all customers according to service standard and procedures.
• Preparation work during kitchen opening and closing operation hours (mise en place)
• Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic.
• Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
• Sorting, storing, and distributing ingredients
• Ensure quality control and food presentation as per standard company recipes
• Ensuring all portion controls are strictly adhered to following the chef’s practices
• Ensure prepare guests’ order in a time manner
• Monitors usage of equipment and utensils to prevent damage and to ensure the equipment are maintained regularly to prolong the life span
• Washing, peeling, chopping , cutting and cooking food stuffs and helping to prepare all food items listed on the menu
• Disposing of rubbish and disposing refuse on a regular basis
• Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
