Job summary

PERSOL Singapore is seeking a skilled cook to prepare meals for residents and staff in a healthcare setting. You will follow established recipes, accommodate special dietary needs, and ensure proper food storage and hygiene throughout the kitchen.

The role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience, WSQ Food Safety & Hygiene certification, and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment. Healthcare or large-scale kitchen experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Secondary education or equivalent qualification required.
• Possess a valid WSQ Food Safety & Hygiene certification or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in food preparation and cooking.
• Familiarity with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Able to work in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Experience in healthcare, institutional, or large-scale kitchen environments will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for residents and employees according to established recipes and guidelines.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Comply with food safety and workplace safety procedures at all times.
• Clean and perform basic maintenance of kitchen equipment, workstations, and utensils.
• Dispose of waste in accordance with hygiene and safety guidelines.
• Provide guidance and support to team members where required.
