Job summary

PERSOL Singapore is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to help prepare and cook meals for residents and staff. You will follow dietary needs, ensure correct storage, label and monitor expiry, and assist with serving and menu planning.

The role requires basic food hygiene certification and at least 2 years in a kitchen, with ability to work in a clean, organized environment and a team setting.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a team and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices and proper storage.
• Good communication and coordination with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and cooking meals for residents and staff.
• Prepare meals according to special or therapeutic dietary requirements.
• Ensure food is stored at the correct temperature.
• Label food properly and monitor expiry dates.
• Assist with meal serving and distribution.
• Support menu planning and meal preparation activities.
• Minimize food wastage through proper portion control and storage.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen and work areas.
• Follow and promote food safety procedures.
• Clean kitchen equipment, workstations, and dispose of waste appropriately.
