Job summary

You will assist guests with wine selections and pairings, support the Head Sommelier with the wine list and cellar organization, and ensure proper storage, handling and presentation of wines. Weekend and public holiday shifts required.

Qualifications

• Experience in wine service preferred.
• Passion for wine with desire to develop professionally.
• Friendly, positive attitude and teamwork.
• Service oriented in F&B industry.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand and walk.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional wine service and recommend suitable wines to guests.
• Assist guests with wine selections and pairings.
• Support Head Sommelier in maintaining wine list and cellar organization.
• Ensure proper storage, handling and presentation of wines.
• Open, decant and serve wines using correct service techniques.
• Conduct regular stock checks and receive wine deliveries.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service while maintaining guest service and teamwork.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Superior.
