Job summary

WHALE CLOUD SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a telecom software support engineer to contribute to project delivery by providing technical support, system configuration, testing, and integration.

You will collaborate with partners and manage customer support to ensure smooth operations and system upgrades, resolving complex issues and ensuring software quality throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, EE or related disciplines.
• Proficiency in databases (MySQL, PL/SQL), Linux, Python or Shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver telecommunication software projects by executing tasks with project teams.
• Configure systems and manage business operations to support software functionality and upgrades.
• Provide Level 2/3 technical support to customers, resolving complex issues.
• Prepare test cases and perform testing across all project phases.
• Coordinate with partners and vendors for integration and troubleshooting.
• Support project success with tasks assigned by the Project Manager.
• Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose challenges.
• Demonstrate a positive customer service mindset to enhance client satisfaction.
• Work independently and as part of a motivated team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver telecommunication software projects by executing assigned tasks and collaborating with project teams
• Configure systems and manage business operations to support software functionality and upgrades
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support to new and existing customers, resolving complex issues efficiently
• Prepare test cases and execute testing across all project phases to ensure software quality and reliability
• Coordinate with external partners and vendors to facilitate system integration and troubleshoot technical problems
• Manage additional tasks assigned by the Project Manager to support project success
• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical challenges
• Demonstrate a positive customer service mindset to enhance client satisfaction
• Work independently and collaboratively as a motivated team player

Required competencies and certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or related disciplines
• Proficiency in at least one of the following technologies: databases (MySQL, PL/SQL), Linux, Python, or Shell scripting

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Prior experience in telecommunication BSS projects
• Mandarin speaking and reading ability (preferred for communication with certain stakeholders)
