Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum Nitec or Diploma in Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in probe card manufacturing, semiconductor manufacturing, or a related industry.
• Experience in probe card repair, rework, testing, troubleshooting, or customer technical support will be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PDF applications.
• Good command of spoken and written English, Mandarin proficiency to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Willing to travel for business and provide on-site customer support when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of customer-returned and rejected probe cards upon return from customers and advise Production on the appropriate repair actions.
• Determine and advise whether rework is justified or whether chargeable repair/rebuild is required.
• Perform rework activities, testing, and inspections upon completion of rework.
• Maintain monthly summary records of probe card rework and repair history.
• Assist the Production team with daily manufacturing and technical activities.
• Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting at customer locations to resolve technical issues and provide solutions for various customer-specific applications.
• Prepare and maintain Field Service Reports following on-site customer support.
• Support the Sales team on customer requirements, product specifications, and quality-related issues.
• Develop and conduct product demonstrations and provide application support to customers.
• Support Design Engineering and QC in investigating and resolving quality issues.
• Provide on-the-job training and technical guidance to customers.
• Perform periodic maintenance of internal machines and equipment.
• Stay updated on new product knowledge, applications, and troubleshooting techniques, and continuously develop relevant technical skills.

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Engineer to join Nidec SV Probe Pte Ltd in Singapore. You will support probe card rework, repair, testing, troubleshooting, and technical support, working closely with Production, Sales, Design Engineering, and QC teams.

The role also involves on-site customer support and provides opportunities to develop your technical knowledge and experience in the semiconductor and probe card industry.
