Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Singapore is seeking an entry-level engineer to design and build high-performance backend services and distributed systems powering personalized vouchers and promotions.

You will collaborate with Product, Data Science, Ads, Search, and Recommendation teams to translate marketplace growth opportunities into reliable, scalable engineering solutions and apply AI techniques to improve campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS or related field
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, OS, networks
• Proficient in Go and/or Python on Linux
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
• Interest in distributed systems and scalable backend design
• Good-to-have experience with backend frameworks, distributed data processing, recommender systems, search or ads systems, ML platforms

Responsibilities

• Design and build high-performance backend services and distributed systems powering personalized vouchers, promotions, and campaign experiences
• Partner closely with Product, Business, Data Science, Ads, Search, and Recommendation teams to translate growth opportunities into reliable, scalable engineering solutions
• Productionize machine learning and optimization capabilities by integrating model serving, experimentation, and decisioning into low-latency online systems
• Apply AI technologies, including LLMs and AI agents, to improve efficiency, quality, and automation of e-commerce campaign operations
• Develop core capabilities for personalized recommendations, promotion and voucher optimization, campaign budgeting, and product demand forecasting
• Ensure production reliability through resilient API design, caching, asynchronous processing, graceful degradation, observability, and continuous performance optimization
